MahaShivaratri, one of the most popular festivals celebrated by Hindu communities across the world, is the largest festival where people worship Shiva. The article focuses on the Shivaratri festival and its significance, as well as how the festival is perceived at the Pashupatinath Temple in Kathmandu. Pashupatinath is the largest Shiva temple in Nepal and one of the largest in the world. Although the main temple is close to non-Hindus, it is still worth a look from the outside. Even Hindus have to queue for at least several hours to pray for a few seconds at the main temple.
