Why should try Partner Yoga?
Partner yoga, some call couple yoga, is an interesting type of yoga that requires two people to perform particular yoga poses. It means you need to pair up with another one in the class, for example your friend, family or even a stranger to begin partner yoga. This might be weird at first with the idea of doing yoga with someone else, but also a fun way to enjoy new experience. While people think this is only for couples, which is why they call it couple yoga; actually, any two-people-pair can all practice, flow together in one common pose. Although yoga is to get people into their own peaceful space, its purpose is also to your own limit and discover something new, such as trust and connection to each other.
Partner yoga might be a seperate yoga workshop, where you and your family, friend come together. It is probably a session in a typical yoga class instructed by teacher, in order to give practitioners new excitement.
Experience, Discover and Trust
- Try new experience doing yoga: doing yoga on your own might give you peace, but practice together with someone else offers you different feelings of curiosity, first shyness and challenge while cooperating.
- Discover new poses that can’t do alone: there are particular yoga poses designed only for partners, in which people support each other. When one relaxes, the other has to hold pose with resistance and vice versa, which you can’t perform by your own.
- Practice to trust in other people: try believing in your partner while holding pose actually makes you calm and open to others. In addition, partner yoga builds connection and new relationship afterwards.
